Race
The race was won by Will Hoskins after a late spell of rain caused a flurry of pitstops and confusion in which Hoskins snatched the lead from polesitter Elroy Wagner. The race was marred by a series of bad accidents involving the pit entry in which cars entering at the wrong angle would bottom out and understeer into the pitwall. Those caught out included Championship contender Jean Mattson as well as both Lucas Wilson cars and series debutant Manni Costello. Nathaniel Powers completed the podium to open a 36 point lead over Mattson following the latter's retirement with just 50 up for grabs following the race.
Post-race
The result meant that only Powers or Mattson could win the title in the following races.
