The 2016 Argentine V-Prix was scheduled to be the first ever Formula Virtual world championship race held at the Autodromo Municipal Ciudad de Buenos Aires, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and therefore the maiden round of the Argentine V-Prix within the Formula Virtual world championship after the 2015 race failed to take place.
Originally scheduled as the seventeenth and penultimate round of the 2016 Formula Virtual season, Argentina was dropped from the calendar two weeks before the race with series CEO Nic Morley confirming the organisers were not ready and repeated the same excuses as in 2015. The decision was therefore taken to scrap the Argentine race completely, with Portugal stepping in to host the seventeenth round of the championship. [1]
