The 2017 FV2 Series season will be fifth season of FV2, a virtual racing feeder series that will run in support of the 2017 FVA Formula Virtual World Championship.
Klaas van Snelheid won the title in 2016 but will not defend his crown because he will move into Formula Virtual with Downton.
Formation Competition are the reigning Teams' Champions after taking their third consecutive title in 2016.

- Hawks Motorsport, Smart Racing and Asia-Pacific Racing all left the series and were replaced by Scuderia Velocita, AutoInternational and Schneider Motoren.

Drivers' championship
Points are awarded to the top twelve classified finishers in the feature, and top ten in the sprint race using the following structures. Feature race pole also awards three points for pole, while both races award one point for fastest lap.
