Background
Pre-qualifying for this race should have been determined by the five teams at the bottom of the Championship following the previous race, however due to Franklin departing the Championship, the session would instead only feature four teams; the four who were below tenth place in the Constructors' Championship and still competing. They were as follows:

1 Jules Barclay failed to set a lap time within 102% of the fastest time recorded in qualifying. As he had previously qualified for races on merit however, he was allowed to start.
2 Felix Beyer and Giani Ledesma failed to set a lap time within 102% of the fastest time recorded in qualifying. As a result, both cars failed to qualify for the race.
3 Lopez missed the strategy deadline for the first time this season. As Lopez are in pre-qualifying, they automatically failed to qualify.
