Lucas V-Prix was a Formula Virtual team which competed in the series from 2013 to 2015, then from 2019 to 2022.

Origins

The team was set up by oil tycoon Lucas Wilson at the end of 2012, with the team operating from Maidstone, Kent, United Kingdom. The team made its debut in the inaugural season of Formula Virtual - 2013.

Ownership

The team was founded and owned by Lucas Wilson, owner of Wilson Oils.

Yamaha engines (2013)

2013 season

The team had only months to produce their first car, the LW-1GP, completing it in a record time of 1 month with the custom built Yamaha engine just fitting. The car was designed by Andy Davies. The team hired Canadian, Hugh Dwyer and Portuguese, Carson Davenport. The team finished the season with a total of 158 points and 4th in the Constructors' Championship.

The team announced a change of name to simply Lucas Grand Prix in 2014.

On the eve of the 2018 Belgian V-Prix - the series' 100th V-Prix - it was announced that Lucas would be returning in 2019 as Lucas V-Prix.
