Mathershaw Technology is an Anglo-French professional Virtual Motorsport organisation, currently competing in various championships, most notably Formula Virtual.

Making their debut in the 2013 Australian V-Prix, the organisation has since grown to compete at the top level of single seaters, sportscars and touring car racing, claiming over XX victories and X championships across virtual motorsport, both individually and providing engineering expertise in collaboration with other teams.

Mathershaw Technology is owned by Robert Mathershaw, with Arthur Lapierre as Team Principal. The team's main operational base is Le Mans, France, with an American division based in Daytona Beach, FL, as well as maintaining their original race shop in Ellesmere Port in the UK.

Formula Virtual

Mathershaw Technology has been involved in Formula Virtual since the inception of the series in 2013. In the organisation's nine year history, it has raced under various identities, partnering with major brands and automotive manufacturers.

The FV team have been based at the Mathershaw Technology factory in Le Mans, France since 2019, where chassis and aerodynamic development and manufacturing take place. Under the current factory programme with Porsche Motorsport, engine development has been undertaken in Weissach, Germany. Historically, the FV operations were based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England, where the team currently bases other operations.

During Mathershaw Technology's time in FV, the team has competed with backing from numerous commercial and sporting partners. Following their initial entry as an independent in 2013, the team entered a naming rights partnership with Liverpool Football Club, a deal which latest two years racing with Vauxhall engines.

From 2016 to 2019, the organisation was the works team partner for French automotive brand DS Automobiles. In this partnership, the team won their first championships in their first year, before continuing on to win a further title in 2018. Following the conclusion of 2019, Mathershaw Technology agreed a long-term deal to race as the official manufacturer team for Porsche in Formula Virtual, also securing a sponsorship agreement from Coca-Cola.

IndyVirtual

Mathershaw Technology entered the IndyVirtual Series for both seasons of its existence, running a team in collaboration with junior single-seater squad Signature Performance who made their level in top level competition. In the partnership, Mathershaw Technology provided technical support and ran the trackside operations of the team, with Robert Mathershaw as crew chief, while Sylvain Tremblay and Arthur Lapierre led the commercial and day-to-day aspects of team ownership. The team was run from Mathershaw Technology's Daytona Beach, FL base, and ran under a Canadian licence under the Signature name.

For both seasons, the team ran with Chevrolet engines as a flagship team, winning the 2018 IndyVirtual Team's Championship as well as one leg of the IndyVirtual Triple Crown, the Japan 500 with Kip Maxwell.

eVirtual

With the replacement of IndyVirtual with the eVirtual World Championship in 2020, Mathershaw Technology were contracted by Porsche Motorsport to build and develop the Porsche 92X Electric for competition. The team is run in conjunction with Westwood Racing Technology, with Lilly Westwood as Team Principal, and Robert Mathershaw overseeing the Technical Director role, and many of the technical staff moving across from the concluded IndyVirtual programme.

Junior Single Seaters

Mathershaw Technology are currently involved with a number of Junior Single Seater operations, most notably a technical partnership with Lapierre Formule (owned by the brother of Team Principal Arthur Lapierre), as well as running cars in the International Junior Grand Prix Championship in 2013 and 2014.
