Report
Background
Due to the increased grid size and subsequent new qualifying rules for 2021, Q1 was introduced to decide the six cars that would fail to qualify for the race. This Q1 session would feature the bottom six teams in the Championship heading into each race weekend. As this was the first race weekend, the results of the previous Championship were used, meaning Highwind and Thunderhead would compete in Q1 alongside the four new teams for 2021.
