Having joined Formula Virtual as an engine supplier to Meteor in 2020, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. expanded their Virtual Motorsport presence a year later by entering a works team into the 2021 eVirtual World Championship, following CEO Stephan Winkelmann's plan to make Lamborghini the leading Italian force in Virtual Motorsport.

2021 season

Winkelmann hired Aldo De Lucia, an experienced Italian team manager, as Team Principal for the team's inaugural season in eVirtual, with Giani Ledesma and Romano Agostino being taken on as drivers. De Lucia successfully forged sponsorship deals with Italian companies Gucci, A2A and De'Longhi, bringing in a vast amount of sponsorship money to aid the team in their debut season.
