This article is about the team that formerly competed in Formula Virtual. For the team that previously competed outside of Formula Virtual please see Team Holmqvist.

Holmqvist was a Swedish Formula Virtual team that competed in the series from 2016 until 2019.

Origins

Main article: Team Holmqvist

Team Holmqvist was founded in 2014 by Fredrick Holmqvist to enter the 2014 VWRS season. Following a strong debut season, the team branched out into FV2 and VERS in 2015.

At the end of 2015, Holmqvist applied to join Formula Virtual as the grid opened up following the series' expansion to 13 teams - as well as the departure of Lucas. However, they were initially unsuccessful as North Star and FIRST were accepted in before them.

Following pre-season testing, where Rossi failed to show up, it was announced that Holmqvist would replace them for the 2016 Formula Virtual World Championship.

Ownership
